Portland-Oregon’da doğdu. 1971 yılında Seattle’de University of Washington’u bitirdi. 1972’de Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture’da yüksek lisans yaptı. 1999 yılında İstanbul’a yerleşti. Koç Üniversitesi’nde sanat dersleri veriyor.

Berg was born in Portland- Oregon. In 1971, he received his B.A. from the University of Washington, Seattle. He studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture for a year in 1972. Berg moved to İstanbul in 1999. He continues to teach art at Koç University.
